My Shoe Life

I know I know... I'm neglecting the blog again! I have several excuses, none of which you care about I'm sure, including the fact that I leant my camera out and have yet to get it back, several months later... but I am partially to blame since I was moving and couldn't use it anyway. Another excuse is that work has been insane and I had to kind of make up for my last couple collections. You see, getting a divorce and completely changing you life has this way of totally effing up your creative work I guess.

Anyhoo... I'm off to China again (AGAIN!!) but before I go, here's a little recap of my last few weeks in shoes...

I had to get the spiked Litas of course...

I love these. Classic Vivienne Westwood.

Love love LOVE these Etro shoes. Just the right amount of tribal.

Every girl needs a great pair of nude pumps. These are by Alejandro Ingelmo.

Off to a bebe meeting with my dad <3

A boot I designed for bebe. Turquoise satin, white "snake" embossed leather. Big badass metal chains.

These Giuseppe Zanotti wedges are so dreamy...

My new favorite Cece L'amour shoes. MEOW!

Some more Cece shoes...

Glittery pink perch heels!

As amazing as these look I'm sending them back. They are a fitting nightmare! :( They're huge in the back and too tight in the front. My little pinky toe is about to pop out!
They look cool though! (Jeffrey Campbell)

Mee-OW!

I was just perusing through luisaviaroma.com when I saw these two similar yet totally different leopard pumps. Every girl needs a great leopard shoe (or two or three) in her closet and I need your help!

I'm LOVING this pretty little leopard with a bow on top! It's by Anastasia Bice and it's pretty perfect. I love the sexy yet girly shape... too cute! A Tiffany blue bow?? I'll take it!

Now slightly edgier, and more sexy than sweet, is this leopard pump from Vivienne Westwood...

Heat Wave

I don't own a lot of expensive clothes because, well... I just can't afford them. Expensive shoes are bad enough, I can't imagine if I bought designer clothes too! Then I'd have to find a designer cardboard box to live in.

When I was in New York I went to Century 21 for some seriously discounted designer goods. It's pretty amazing there if you're willing to take time to dig for hidden treasures. For us West Coasters, think Lohman's but WAY bigger and with some seriously high end designers.

While digging I found some great Vivienne Westwood Anglomania stuff, including this...

It's like a flowy vest type thing but can be buttoned and belted and worn like this..

I love the bold print. I guess I'd describe it as a sort of baroque tribal print. The original price was outrageous! I think it was like $350 but Century 21's price was $160 and with my 50% discount (we sell to them so we get hooked up)... $80 Not bad, right?? I got a few other pieces from her that I just love. I got some great Marc by Marc stuff too :)
Yay for not paying retail!

I love these clunky chunky shoes by Celine. They've taken quite a beating with me wearing them all Summer, but the leather wore in really nicely :)

The pop of color on the top inspired my to bust out my Heat Wave lipstick by NARS. Pretty appropriate since we are in the middle of a scorching heat wave!!

Hearts on My Toes

I waited WAY too long to buy these... but I bought them none the less. I only have about a month left to wear them, but they are fun and I love them.

(Melissa for Vivienne Westwood jellies, jeans- Blank, tank and bandeau- American Apparel, necklace and headband- F21)

My dad said they are the ugliest shoes ever! He is very blunt when it comes to shoes I guess. I however, think they are adorable and am glad I got them, however late I may have been. I got them at Nordstrom for less than I found them online too :)

I know my dad hates them... what do YOU think??

Valentines Schmalentines...

I for one, am not a big fan of Valentine's day. It's pretty silly and I think it puts a lot of pressure on dudes and they hate it most of the time. It's kind of a selfish holiday, no?
Plus, my baby's nice to me every day, so I don't need a holiday for that. ;)

ANYWAY, enough self-righteous ranting. hahaha

Though I'm apposed to the holiday, I'm always up for a theme and a reason to wear something to go with it. I love gaudy Christmas sweaters and Halloween costumes, and on Valentines Day... I go for the girly hearts and pink, white and red.
Here's my first attempt at using Polyvore.

hearts on shoes

Yay! I went into McQueen yesterday and saw those hot pink heart peep toes in person. I think the heart opening is a little too big and I hate when there's too much toe action going on.
I still love that Vivienne Westwood for Melissa shoe (the pink one with the black hearts) but won't get them 'cause Pamela Anderson kinda ruined them for me.
