For Shoe Lovers, Like Me...

If you love shoes like I love shoes, and I'm assuming you do cause here you are... you LOVE shoe related stuff too. The problem with that is that usually, shoe related products suck. Sorry, but it's true. They suck because they're probably made by people who don't love shoes like we love shoes.

Case in point...

I walk by these at the grocery store and cringe. As I used to say in middle school- Those are butt ugly! Obviously not made by a shoe lover.

So, when I saw these ADORABLE greeting cards by Modern Paper Goods, I had to share them with you!

So adorable! I love the idea of giving these cards to my friends for birthdays and other special occasions. I love the "I'm so pumped about your birthday" one. Totally perfect.

My Shoe Life

I know I know... I'm neglecting the blog again! I have several excuses, none of which you care about I'm sure, including the fact that I leant my camera out and have yet to get it back, several months later... but I am partially to blame since I was moving and couldn't use it anyway. Another excuse is that work has been insane and I had to kind of make up for my last couple collections. You see, getting a divorce and completely changing you life has this way of totally effing up your creative work I guess.

Anyhoo... I'm off to China again (AGAIN!!) but before I go, here's a little recap of my last few weeks in shoes...

I had to get the spiked Litas of course...

As amazing as these look I'm sending them back. They are a fitting nightmare! :( They're huge in the back and too tight in the front. My little pinky toe is about to pop out!

Heel Condoms?

A reader wrote me and asked me what I thought about heel condoms.

Heel Condoms?? WTF? Never heard of it, so I checked out...

So basically, Heel Condoms is a pretty good idea with a really ugly name.
You buy these little shoe add-ons that slip onto the heel (like a condom... I guess?) and they transform your plain pumps into bright, fun shoes. I think a lot of them are pretty adorable, I just really HATE the name. I get that it was done intentionally, to get people interested or to shock people into checking it out, but it's really a turn off. When I think of heel condom, I get images of slimy pre lubricated latex covering a heel.
Gross.
These are so cute and girly! They should have a girly name.

Lets pretend like we get to rename the company. What would you call it??
