Flirty Floral

I get a lot of questions about whether or not I ever wear inexpensive shoes. OF COURSE I do! I don't discriminate based on price- if a shoe is cute, it's cute. Period.

These floral wedges from Forever 21 are the best example. They're the cheapest shoes I own at a whopping $25 and look how cute they are!

Over the River and Through the Woods...

To Grandmother's House We Go! Ok, not really. I mean, we live by the beach and my g-ma is about 10 minutes away. But you know what I mean.


Today I took my Grandma to lunch. My Grandma is a super stylish French-Moroccan who is always up on the latest designers and trends. In fact- she gave me a stack of magazine tears today, which is so beyond cute... I mean, I told her I wanted to hire her as my assistant! She pulls some really great stuff from all her Parisian mags.
ANYWAY- so lunch with Granny means no slacking off in the outfit department. I love to surprise her with new shoes each time I visit. She totally gets a kick of how high I will go. Today was no exception.

Weekend Gettaway

Packing is always a drag. I always bring too many shoes and almost always forget something important like deodorant or face wash... Gross, but true. One time I went to China and forgot to pack underwear!! HAHA! Ben had to FedEx me undies because the shops in the area of China I work in didn't have anything big enough for my butt. It was pretty hilarious but that's a whole different story...

These Harejuku Lovers wedges are one of my first designs for the brand. I finally got myself a pair and was excited for weather warm enough to warrant wearing them. And yes- thats bright pink Zinka. Remember how cool that stuff used to be? I'm bringing it back like Wendy Brandes is bringing back denim on denim!

I love these Missoni jelly flats even though Chinese Laundry knocked them off already!

On the way out to our weekend in Palm Desert I wore my "sensible" Louboutins (I love calling them that) and this super cute new skirt I got at Forever21. Yay for inexpensive clothes! It sure makes shopping for Spring a while lot easier.

It was bright but the wind was seriously threatening to blow my skirt up!

Flowers and Bunnies and Wedges, Oh My!

You guys know I love Spring. It's so full of pretty girly things like Spring flowers and baby bunnies popping out of mommy bunnies everywhere! Lots of pink and fluff and sunshine and new life... are you sick to your stomach yet?

So it's not surprising that I put two of my favorite Spring things together- flowers and bunnies, adding my other obvious favorite... NEW SHOES!!

Yay! I got them and I love them. They're super high yet mostly comfortable. The rubber bottom and cushy insole are so great. To go with my over-priced shoes I'm wearing all Forever21. I love my Fifi Lapin sweater so I was excited to see that she did more shirts for the brand for Spring.

I'm excited for warmer weather and cute girly clothes!

Mama's Got a Brand New Bag

Sooooo I'm not going to go into how I got this bag exactly, but I was really excited to get hooked up with it. It's Givenchy and it's way out of my price range. The leather is amazing- the picture doesn't really do it justice.

I think I've posted these old boots before but I still love them. They're Betsey Johnson from at least 3 years ago... I really like how the boots bend into my jeans, and I love their classic vintage shape.

You Can't Spell Jewelry Without a Jew...

Hello and happy Hanukkah to all my Jewish friends!

Last night my friend and across-the-street neighbor Gigi hosted a jewelry party at her house, so I decided to pop over and take a peek!

I really loved a lot of Rachel May's pieces and bought a bracelet and necklace for myself. Hanukkah presents to me from me! ;)

Yes, I got them (sorry Sister Wolf) and they are indeed big scary shoes. I think I love them but to be honest, looking at this picture makes me wonder if I'm smoking crack. They're about a size too big but I got them anyway because I'm a total fashion victim I guess. I'm thinking of selling them and getting the right size from my friend who designed them.

Doi. I should have just waited.

Oh well.

On a side note- I met my husband 4 years last night! I love you Benjamin!! Thank you for putting up with my crap and being such a sweetie pie.

Me on Your TV?

Yep- that was me!

Thanks to everyone who emailed, texted, and Facebooked me last night to tell me they thought they saw me on TV. I was out to dinner with our friends the Walkers, when both Christie's and my cell phone starting blowing up at about 8:10pm (Christie was with me at the taping).

I just got around to watching it and I am somewhere between embarrassed and excited. Probably embarrassed that I'm excited...

Here is the first shot of Christie and I... I was surprised to see myself on TV for a good solid 4 seconds (14 minutes and 56 seconds to go?) looking bored and tired- which I was NOT, even after a long 4 hour shooting time. Even though they showed it in the beginning, this was shot towards the end... but anyway, here I am. They told us not to look into the camera but it looks like I kind of am? With my right eye anyway.

THEN... after the first or second commercial break- there I am again, only this time I look happy and it was a a quick second.

Did I mention I love Cat Deely? Well I do. And here she is looking stunning, and ever so leggy as usual in a Christopher Kane for Topshop dress.

And Mary Murphy... as charmingly annoying as usual.

My sister was on too! Aint she cute!? Haaaay sissy!

And finally- a couple more shots at the end...

It was a fun day, though super tiring. We went to Swingers after for some vegan nachos (amazing) and way too many french fries!

I learned an important lesson for anyone living in the greater Los Angeles area... if you're on a TV show where they show the audience, and you may be on... try less mouth open "woooooooo"ing and more smiling and clapping.
