Geek Chic

Did anyone go to Comic-Con this past weekend? I missed it this time, but seeing the latest from Phillip Lim reminded me of it and looks like something the chicest geeks would wear to the convention.

I love kitschy graphic prints like this. They're so fun and fresh, and I always love when fashion is fun and doesn't take itself too seriously.

I feel like this is in the same vein as Prada last year. Fun, bold and graphic...

Phillip Lim didn't make any comic book inspired shoes (lame), but I went ahead and found you some ;)

Nerd Queens on Etsy make custom comic heels like this...

Black Milk x Jeffrey Campbell has these comic book Litas...

Or if you're a lunatic, Jeremy Scott always makes super crazy shoes like these...

Back on the Chain... Gang

I impulsively bought this AMAZING scarf about a month ago after seeing it on little miss Tavi's blog, and I just received it last night (YAY!)

So here's the thing... I'm not sure that I can pull it off?? I mean, it is truly amazing but I feel like I might look silly wearing it. Like I need to be a little cooler to wear it. ha ha ha. That sounds silly, but seriously.

It was handmade by the talented Yokoo (check out her etsy shop!) in limited quantity so I figured I didn't have time to think about the purchace- I just HAD to have one!

I'm totally in love with it, but what do you all think? Cool? Silly?

**ADDITION**

Yokoo has since become a household name. ;)
I'm so excited that fall is here and I can wear this again! Yippee! I wore it to Gwen Stefani's house and she loved it so Yokoo made her one in all black!

Etsy

Are you guys familiar with Etsy? Well, I'm sure most of you are but for those of you who aren't- check it out. I'm still on this whole "how to find inspiration" kick and I just wanted to mention that I love checking out what crafty people all over the world are making.
Here's one of a million examples. Silvia's Think has a blog and an Etsy store. Cute handcrafted goodies from Italy. Then there's Susuten and their adorable little plush friends. And of course, Etsy is where I go for all my Blythe Doll clothing needs. People like Blytheworld make little handmade outfits for all my little Blythe Dolls.

Etsy is great for creative and unique gifts and for inspiring ideas! My Blog-friend Tokyo Bunnie is often updating us on the cutest best Etsy stores so be sure to check her out!

Enjoy!
