Knock it Off!

I've got shoe beef.

Let me preface this post by saying that I think Jeffrey Campbell is killing it. His shoes are often the biggest trending shoes out there and he obviously has a great eye. I practically live in my Litas and that's saying a lot. You guys KNOW about my shoe collection. haha

That being said, I do have beef with these cheesy blatant knockoffs. Knockoffs bug me sometimes, while other times I don't think it's that big of a deal. I get that people want designer inspired styles for less. The Litas are actually "interpretations" of an amazing designer shoe and like I said, I wear them all the time. These shoes however, really rub me the wrong way.

You can't take a shoe that is literally an icon and knock it off like this. It's super cheesy.

Above, the knockoff.
Below, the original by Salvatore Ferragamo...

I don't like either one to be honest but you have to respect a classic. This is one of the most famous shoe designs in the world.

I also have beef with this shoe because the original is so amazing and these just look like bad orthopedic shoes. Yikes.

And finally this shoe. A cheesy knockoff of a really special shoe.

What do you guys think?? There's a fine line between interpreting and knocking off but these are crossing the line. Does it bother you? Or do you think that all is fair in shoes and fashion?

What I Wore...

I've been waiting for images to pop up online from Adrienne Maloof's party, but it's been 2 weeks and I haven't seen anything so my crappy photos will have to do.

SURPRISE! I know it wasn't an option I put up, but at the last minute with all your comments about a pop of color, I went for the brightest pop I have.

I love these Miu Miu shoes. The highlighter yellow mixed with the nude is pretty perfect.

I did my own hair and makeup and kept it pretty simple. I LOVE an excuse for false lashes so I wore these giant Shu Uemura ones...

It was a really fun night and I got to meet all the Beverly Hills Housewives who were mostly sweet ;) I'll keep to myself who wasn't so nice but I'll tell you I was surprised.

Anyway- Hope you like my choice!

Death Metal Shoe Girl

If you're in the Orange County area tomorrow you should definitely stop by the Pretty in Pink Boutique in Costa Mesa at 7pm to check out their photography art show! They're going to have all kinds of fun stuff including a series by my friend Leah. You may recognize this lunatic...

Yep that's me.

There's more too but you'll have to come see them in person. I'll be there with my best girlfriends and some really cute clothes by the way! Extra bonus :) OH! And the Kogi BBQ truck. Perfect.

Neon and Skyscrapers

I just wanted to re-post this since I'm wearing this bra today and every time I wear it a girl will sort of catch my attention and quietly ask me where I got it...

These are some seriously high, seriously amazing shoes. I'll let the pictures do the talking...

Crazy, right?

Some of you may remember that I was on the search for a neon bra a-la the always amazing Miss Gwen Stefani. (Click here if you're drawing a blank) Well I finally found one at Victoria's Secret! Yippee!!
The only problem was that it wasn't exactly what I was looking for so I had to do some serious altering.

I wanted the sides to be see-through lace and this bra wasn't. I cut out the lining as you see here...

There was also a pornographic amount of padding in the bra that I had to cut out...

WOAH!

I made the foam padding into a queen size mattress for my guest room. ;)

(black jeans with studded suspenders- L.A.M.B, tank- BP, bra- Victoria's Secret, shoes- Gianmarco Lorenzi

Delema: WTF Do I Wear??

Ok, I have about an hour to make a decision here and I'd LOVE your help! QUICK!
Tonight I'm going to a big ol cocktail party hosted by Adrienne Maloof and I can't decide what to wear!! Here are my options:

This dress is amazing! By Phillip Lim...

They look like matte sequins but they are LEATHER!! SO cool!

I love the sleeve detail <3

This one by Miu Miu is more simple but fits like a glove and is plain so my shoe choices are broader...

The shoes:

 YSL mohawk pumps

Ganmarco Lorenzi lace/stud/bow bump

Argh! too aggressive? DSquared spine shoes. Vivienne Westwood rhinestone devil horns

Kirkwood splatter paint pumps, J.Crew necklace

Louboutin Daffodil pump

HELP HELP HELP ME!!!! Please :)
