Blackbird Singing in the Dead of Night

Aren't these great? They're definitely Givinchy-esque without looking like knockoffs. I liked them so much in fact, that I got them in 2 colors. You can find them HERE on Shopbop. :)
They're Joe's Jeans shoes, which I think are a brand new shoe brand. How exciting for them to get it right, right off the bat. Great shoes, great quality, and a great price point which is so important and getting harder to find.

I wore them yesterday while running some errands... AKA shopping.... and they were pretty comfy! Good thing since I got two, right. haha.

Is that a new bag, you ask? Why, yes. Yes it is. As you guys know I'm obsessed with Miu Miu's Spring/Summer collection so I had to get whatever I could from it. The runway shoes, the collar, and now the bag. I love her.

Vinyl printed with their sparrow design, the perfect shade of pink, and these cute little bows??? So great. So me!

And finally, the shoes in grey...

I don't often buy the same shoe in more than one color, but these are just the perfect shade of summer grey. And I feel like the shoes look totally different, don't you??

Me and My Madame Butterflies...

These are SO high, even by Louboutin's standards. I adore them and love the way the height looks. They're head turning and attention grabbing and everything a sexy shoe should be. LOVE them!! Even the name is great. Madame Butterfly.

What is it with dogs? They love being in pictures!

This is Tyson. He's Banksy and Stella's best friend. So handsome :)

These babies bring high to a new level...

Do they look familiar? They were the Marchesa runway shoes and were worn by a few different stars on the Met Gala's red carpet. I fell in love with them as soon as I saw them in the look book. They spoke to me ;) Just call me the shoe whisperer...
(leggings- American Apparel, top- Intermix, shoes- Christian Louboutin)

My new surprise favorite nail polish is this color I'm weraing- Turquoise and Caicos by Essie. So cute and Summery! I'm usually a red or pink kinda girl but I think this color is just adorable.

There are so many great shoes on sale right now. It brings up my argument for waiting again... too bad I don't take my own advise, right? It just seems that a lot of really beautiful shoes are going on sale these days. I'm sure it has to do with the economy of course. That mixed with the ridiculous price of designer shoes. Anyway- check these out, and hopefully some of you will score some sweet deals.

Here are some of my favorites:

This shoe looks amazing on the foot. So high and sexy. From $736 to $368 here

An adorable ballet flat at a discount. From $475 to $380 here if you're a 6. If you're not, call your local Louboutin boutique. They have more sizes and a slightly larger discount.

Two of my favorite trends- vinyl and studding! From $975 $780 here.

There's something really cool about this shoe. The draped soft leather in front and the elastic in back. Very cool and a great sale price too- From $438 to $219 here.

These are super cool and from up and coming designer LD Tuttle. She and I went to design school in Milan together and it's so cool to see her stuff everywhere. From $660 to $330 here.

This shoe is nuts. I love how al the neutral pieces make that red heel just pop. Also- check out the detail. Isn't that awesome?? All the pieces are wrapped around the whole thing. Very cool. From $830 to $415 here. It also comes in black but I just love this color.

Ok, so technically I don't love this shoe but I do respect it for being unique. Half strappy shoe, half bootie. Interesting.... From $790 to $395 here.

A great summer shoe that I paid full retail for. Story of my life... From $595 to $395 here.

Happy Birthday to Me!

I'm out of town right now but I thought you guys might enjoy some embarrassing pictures of me through the years. Especially you jerks that like to write mean comments ;)

I'll be back to regular posting when I get home Tuesday.

Ok... I'm gonna start with cute cause it gets scary fast...

This was my 5th grade picture. Notice my pirate earings? Well my mom sure did.
I remember buying these at the costume store telling my mom that I wanted to be a pirate for Halloween. I was lying to her... I just wanted the sweet hoops. She wouldn't let me wear hoops so I snuck them into my bag and then put them on when I got to school. I felt so cool and grown up. I remember bringing my packet of pictures home and my mom flipped out. Good times.

So I was born blonde and then at about 11 my hair got darker and curlier... it doesn't look too bad here but this was picture day. Someone must have done it for me because usually I would brush my hair out (a big no no for curly hair) and would have a big wavy frizzy poof on my head. The boys at school used to call me Dickhead and the girls in 8th grade left a brush in my desk as a nice little present for me. Brutal. haha

This was on my birthday. The big 1-3. Watch out!

One of my favorite fashion moments of my younger days. Lets count the 90's trends together, shall we?

1- Manic Panic yellow streak in my hair
2- Baby doll top
3- Black Flys furry mini backpack (I was obsessed with this bag. I thought I was SO cool with it)
4- Can collar as a necklace
5- Patent pleather pants. Seriously.
6- I'm wearing creepers with piano socks down there

Ahhhh, then there was freshman year of high school. I learned about mousse and used a lot of it. I also discovered Sun-in and brown lipstick. (Tennis team photo)

And to rebel against my curly orangy hair... My Sophomore year. Yikes.
This was before the age of the flat iron so you'll notice my two barrettes on either side of my part, holding down the unmanageable frizzy bangs.

Sophomore year I went to prom. My friend Jasmine and I were asked by our Japanese exchange student friends. So awesome. Speaking of awesome... my freaking dress! Haha- Are you kidding me?? I bought the zebra print skirt but made the top and trimmed the gloves with marabou. I also trimmed my shoes in marabou. I should have known then that I'd be a shoe designer. ;)

Senior year... I had a really long awkward phase. I'm waiting for it to end. haha.

And then, finally, when I moved to San Francisco I decided to be a bad ass. I died my hair black, cut bangs and pierced my lip. My dad found out about it and called me to tell me that if I didn't take the lip ring out, he'd come up to SF and rip it out for me.
Needless to say, the lip ring lasted less than a month.

I look like a dirtbag.

Thanks for checking out my memories. I hope you enjoy. I've loved most of my 29 years and love most of you ;)

xoxo
