Oh Kirkwood...

First, he shows us these for Spring...

I love these. Everything about these. (a mere $2153.70 HERE)

And then there are these for Fall.

In the words of Rachel Zoe... I die.
I'm dead.
I died.
I love these a lot. A LOT.

I love Kirkwood a lot. A really lot lot.
I love how these heels look like carved soap or ivory. Well, not so much ivory cause that would be pretty terrible. Not clubbing baby seals terrible but... you know. I like elephants a lot. All animals really. Well, not sharks but I don't want to KILL them either. Unless they kill people then go ahead.

Deep blogging I know, but this is what I have for you.
I've been really sick and on top of that I haven't been feeling very inspired. I also feel like I'm talking to myself for some reason. Like nobody's out there.
Ever feel like that??

Hmph.

I love you Kirkwood. Keep up the good work :)

X's and O's

Valentine's day was the day of the Betsey Johnson show, but it was also an excuse for dinner at my favorite restaurant in NY... Jane. I've yet to order anything that I didn't love!

I love this sweet little multi colored pastel enamel heart necklace. I found it at Forever 21 and was shocked at how cute it was at such a great price!! (you may need to click on the image for better detail)

I know I posted this in the last post but I love it so much... you get to see it again. ;)
And as non-flattering as it is... this is the only photo I got of me and my sweetie pie Valentine

Betsey Johnson Fall 2010 Runway Show!

Sorry I'm so behind you guys... I'm so exhausted and SO glad to be home! :)

So this Betsey show was super fun! I went early to meet up with Betsey and check out what was happening behind the scenes. Betsey told me she was going to be doing "something special" to some of the shoes and I was excited to see what it was!

I got really excited when I saw Betsey putting together this mustache coat for her Alexander McQueen tribute.

The runway before all the chaos...

Betsey drew on some of the runway shoes! So cool! Special is right.

Isn't this fun?? What a cool DIY for all of us! Now all we need is a cheapish pair of suede or fabric shoes...
I asked what would happen to these shoes after the show... I thought it would be a great thing to donate for charity, but I haven't heard back yet.

This is what I wore to the show.

I was really excited to meet some awesome people at the show including Robert Verdi
And the amazing Miss Patricia Field, who was so super nice! Don't be fooled by the witch hat ;)

It was a great Valentine's Day for sure! I got lots of compliments on my bow that night. I absolutely LOVE it! You can get your own here... YOKOO

Chictopia Party

It was back to the Tribeca Grand Hotel for the Chictopia party...

I was pretty partied out at this point, plus I had come to the conclusion that I totally packed wrong as far as shoes were concerned. :( I packed shoes that did NOT work with snow/slush/wetness. Not sure what I was thinking.

I love these though! So comfy and cute. High enough to be sexy but I can walk all night long in these!

People's Revolution Party

How do you New Yorkers do it?? Party party every night? I can't keep up!

I'm on delay here- this party was a few nights ago... Hmmm, 3 nights ago? They're all blurring together!

Anyway, the party was insane. Tons of people and lots of dudes in heels. So awesome!

My new New York BFF William. I was about to shoe battle him! He was WERQing the Balenciaga cork platforms I am obsessed with and can't find... bitch.

Yay! Epperson from Project Runway's 6th season :) He was so sweet and was hanging out with this very cute male model. Hello.

I mist say though, that the highlight of my evening was hanging out with the AMAZING Tony "Princess Poochie" Cooler of Shoe Daydreams.
I am smitten. We had such a good time and she made my cheeks hurt from laughing all night!

AND THE HAT!!! You gotta love the hat.

L.A.M.B. Afterparty

After an awesome L.A.M.B. show it was time to party! A quick trip back to the apartment and an outfit change later, it was back to Milk Studios for a cocktail party to honor Gwen and her successful collection.
We were there for about half an hour when she showed up and was instantly mobbed by photogs and well-wishers. Fellow celebs included Kelly Osbourne (who looked AMAZING and so teeny tiny) and Kelly Bensimon.
Gwen looked drop dead as usual and was so sweet despite all the commotion around her. I tried to stay back and let everyone get their time with her. You guys would die laughing if someone took a picture of me at one point. I was standing next to Gwen talking to her business partner about the line when Kelly Osbourne showed up. Well, these two photographers wanted to get good pics (one is the picture below) so they squeezed between Gwen and I squishing me up against the couch I was leaning on. It was really funny and if I took myself too seriously I would have been pissed.

ANYWAY- Gwen then called me over to where she was, which just tells you how unbelievably sweet she is. A party full of people and she still took time to talk and hang out for a few minutes.
I finally got a semi decent photo with her after working with her for over 2 years. haha
YAY!

I wore a Robbi and Nikki top with silk shorts and sweater tights and of course, my L.A.M.B heels.

NWFW So Far...

I'm having so much fun in New York and I'm so glad I came! I don't want to miss another Fashion Week ever again!

My first day here I went to the L.A.M.B. show and it was AMAZING! I am so excited to have been a part of it. The line looked so good and Gwen and her team were all very excited about how it turned out.

A few of my favorite looks...

And I absolutely LOVE these boots we did. So hot!

My camera died right before the show started so I don't have the detailed shoe photos I wanted to get. I took some with my phone and will upload them when I'm home again.

NY Post-
"Equal parts tomboy, Brit punk, military and glam, Stefani's fall collection was everything we've come to expect from her. There was enough leather to drive PETA positively mad, popping up everywhere from chic black bubble short shorts (which she wore paired with a fitted leather jacket with shoulder pads to take her bow) to high waisted skinny black stretch pants and leggings. Other highlights included "punker pants" -- slouchy and boyish bottoms that beg to be paired with a cropped jacket, white tank and chains -- that came in soft camouflage print silk and over dyed denim, a long leopard calfskin jacket with asymmetrical button closure and loads of military inspired jackets and hoodies."

I wore a Theory sweater dress and super high L.A.M.B. heels.

Here with my friend and the mastermind behind all the Harajuku Lovers prints (plus TONS more) Jolie Clemens.

...My next post will be about the after party so stay tuned!!

Alexander McQueen...

His shoes have served as a great inspiration for the last few years. This past collection was beyond words.

What a sad and tragic way to end it all.
Rest in peace Mr McQueen. I hope you find the peace you are after.
