Off to China...

It's time to go to China again... :(

Hopefully they've gotten over their whole blocking Blogger thing. If not, I'll try to figure something out. Maybe I'll send posts through email to my hubbs or my sister and have them copy/paste. Unless any of you have any tips? :) That would be great...
I can't go a whole week without posting!!

Talk to you all soon!

Bolo'd Over

I need to be sketching today but I'm having the WORST case of creative block of my life! I keep sitting down with my sketch pad... but nothing.
So where do I go when I want to be inspired?? Well, I go shopping of course!

First stop was a visit to my friends at the Louboutin boutique to look around and to drop off my damaged goods (Hi Amita! Hi Monica! Hey Jourdan!) and then off to see Betty at YSL.

Yes. I'm seriously wearing a bolo tie... I'm pretty into it.

YSL has AMAZING Fall shoes this year. Amazing. I think I was in there for an hour trying on all the new shoes. You guys should go check them out ASAP. We're talking serious footwear here.
OMG! And they have these numbered, limited addition Kate Moss Trib Too pumps! They're this spacey matte silver color and they are reeeeeally cool. Check those out too. Maybe I'll sneak in there and see if I can get a picture. :)

Anyway, I wore these Miu Miu boots today. They were in my bebe launch post but you couldn't see them well. I love them and as simple as they are, I get tons of comments on them. They're even pretty comfortable considering how high they are!

SIDE NOTE:
Why does my hair look so shiny and beautiful you ask? Well... my darling sweetie pants (and fake twin) Christie Walker did this awesome Brazilian keratin treatment on my hair and it worked AMAZINGLY!!! It's a de-frizzing treatment thats totally safe for all hair types. Anyway check her out if you're local.

HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND!!

Damn You Crocs.

I hate to have such a negative Friday so this wont be my last post of the day, but DAMN YOU CROCS! You've officially crossed the line. And damn you too, Hello Kitty. I thought you had higher standards.
Tisk tisk. I am so ashamed.

Dear iPhone,

Please stop taunting me with your ads, bragging about your do-it-all apps. We get it. You've thought of everything we could have ever dreamt of wanting from a phone. You are like a crazy robot from the future that can read minds and bake cookies (those apps will be available shortly) Your camera takes better pictures than my digital camera does. Your internet is faster than my home computer.

But guess what- you SUCK when it comes to texting, so until you get that shit figured out... I want nothing to do with you! I'll stick with my blackberry, TYVM.

Who texts with one finger?? Pshhhh.

Wine Night + Girl Friends =

A few of my friends and I went out to celebrate our friend Julie's birthday. Just some good Italian food and friends, right? Well, no. It was Wednesday Wine night at the restaurant which meant no corking fee on any bottles you bring in. Woops.

When I called Ben for a ride home, craziness ensued. I decided I wanted to hang out in the bathtub. Hey- it made sense at the time... and the dogs agreed! I was really into how my shoes matched our tile.

If it's Not Brogue, Don't Fix it.

So Christie and I went to meet Paramore before the No Doubt show- yes that was a few weeks ago, but I forgot to blog it ;) They were really sweet and the lead singer Hayley is adorable and happened to be wearing a beanie that Ben designed while at Paul Frank.

Anyway, I broke out my vintage brogues finally! I found them while shopping for my first Betsey collection- you may remember the group I built around them (if you forgot check it out here) and I've been waiting to wear them.

(top and headband- Urban Outfitters, jeans- Blank, shoes- Vintage, bracelet- Intermix)

I'm an 8 1/2 so those of you who shop vintage know how exciting it is to find shoes bigger than a vintage size 7! I'm not a big flats girl, so when I find a great pair it's extra special.

D'OH!

When this happens...

Then this happens...

I mean, how depressing, right?? :'(
I went to my high school's 10 year reunion (yikes) and this girl was smoking in my face (yuck) and when I went to back away from the bitch, I scraped my heel against this cement pillar and "AAARGGGH!!" Totally ruined my new shoes.

...I almost cried and it definitely ruined my night. Luckily, there's a killer shoe repair that the lovely people over at the Louboutin boutique send all their shoes to. I'll keep my fingers crossed and post a picture of the repairs!

Cure for the Mondays

I'm not even going to say anything... a picture is worth a thousand words. :)

Oh yes I did.

Good News!

I know a lot of you missed the boat on these Sam Edelman boots. You know- the Balenciaga knockoffs. Well, I guess they made some more! You can find them HERE and HERE.

Unfortunately, they are overpriced IMO, (about $200 more than the original price I got them for) but if you really want them- here's your chance. Get them while they last! As you can see, they look pretty much exactly like the real deal...

***UPDATE***
Heels.com is going to get them too!! My advice would be to wait and see what their price will be. I've never heard of either of the other two sites so they may be jacking the price up. I have no idea. I do trust heels.com for sure though. ;)

Gettin My Boot on

Hello! I was unusually excited to wake up to an overcast sky today. Why? Well, because I knew I could finally wear my new Chloé boots! Yippee!

These are my first pair of thigh high boots and I adore them. I always thought these kind of boots looked slutty and very Pretty Woman, but these for some reason are more sexy than slutty. More sleek than skank. They also fold down nicely for an over the knee look.
The leather is super soft and buttery and there is a gold accent on the inside of the heel. LOVE them.

I got them at Intermix and I can't find them anywhere online. :(

Fendi: The Good, the Bad and the Fugly.

Oh Fendi... What is going on?

Let's start with these amazing platforms. The good.
These are siiiiiiick! I mean, don't try these at home kids... these have some serious heels (6.5 inches!!!) and even with a substantial platform, the pitch is super high. Yikes.
BUT... thats why I love them. The higher the heels the closer you are to God, right? Ha!

SWOON!

The bad? Well, let's just say my grandma might like these. The color combo is kinda yucky and I haaaaaaaate these kind of heels. blah. Even though they are pretty high also, the curved heel is just so out of date IMO.

The straight up fugly?? While granny was trying on those Fendi's up there, grandpa lost control of his rascal and had an accident- his toupee apparently ended up on these booties.
Seriously? An animal had to die for these? Gross gross gross.

When I look at them I just can't help but think of one of these guys-
Eww.

Hey Stranger!

I've never owned a pair of Rock & Republic shoes but someone recently brought the brand to my attention and they have some seriously sexy styles!

I found this style... and on sale! Hello!

I love the mix of that techy fabric with satin and the exotic leather! And the pop of fire engine red lacquer on the heel... perfect.

You can find them here on zappos for $313 from $439. Not bad for Italian made shoes!

Hair Delema

A little off subject but I have been obsessing over this for 2 weeks now, ever since I went to visit my friend Amita over at the Louboutin boutique and saw her amazing amazing AMAZING new hair do.

She shaved a piece out of the side of her hair a la these ladies I found on the web-

It's so cool!! I'm willing to overlook the fact that it's Carmen Electra cause it's so cool looking.
But what do YOU think??
It is pretty extreme. Not necessarily the cut, but the grow out. That's the only thing that is stopping me at this point. That and I'm wondering if it looks as good without super long hair.

Opinions please! Thank you!

And Hello Haters...

Don't make me sick Stella on you!

I would like to address the "Anonymous" people that leave me rude and nasty comments. This is so silly of me to even pay you any attention but I'd just like to make a few points.

First- This is MY blog. Mine. I will write about how much I love my husband or any other subject that bothers you as much as I want. If you have a problem... GO AWAY. I can write whatever I want. You do not need to read it.

Second- I do not for one second think I am a model or that I am gorgeous. I post pictures of myself to show what I'm wearing and how I wear it. I realize that I am completely average on a good day so you can stop with the comments about how fat/ugly/unattractive I am. I get it. Though I did get a kick out of the "you look like Lady Gaga, but uglier" comment, and joke about it often with my friends.

Please don't get me wrong- I have no problem with negative comments about outfits or shoes. I expect them and honestly welcome them. I do however take issue with personal attacks on me. It makes you sound envious and honestly, pretty pathetic. Especially when you don't have the balls to leave your name.
I am not cocky about anything but my taste in shoes, which I am obviously proud of. That is what this blog is about. Shoes. So talk all the shit you want about how tacky you think I am or whatever- but stop with the nastiness.
I will from now on delete mean anonymous comments. If you leave a name/url for me to judge you by- I'll go ahead and leave them up.

Ok- rant complete. I love you all so much! Thank you for reading weather you love me or hate me or something in between. It's been over a year now since I started this and I really love writing it.

XOXO

Hello Friends!

I'm back from Maui and back already in action! I had a day full of meetings today and am starting on my next Betsey Johnson and Harajuku lines for Summer 2010! Yippee!

I took these photos the night before leaving- so I'm sort of cheating by posting week old pictures, but you guys haven't seen them yet. ;)
My tan is ridiculous- I'm super dark for being gone all of 4 days and I'll post some more tomorrow but I just wanted to show you these shoes! Another great sale find at Intermix! Yay!

(top- F21, shorts- J.Crew, shoes- Por La Victoire)

They're Pour la Victoire and I think they're the perfect shade of neutral. They're strappy and opened up enough to wear now, and a great transition into Fall :)
They have them HERE at Bloomingdales in black, and HERE at heels.com in green or cognac.

Here's a similar style from Por la Victoire that I absolutely LOVE and am contemplating buying. (also found on heels.com)

So cute, right?? That great neutral color with a pop of color! Yes please!

I'll be back tomorrow. Back to real life... and blog posts!

Off to Paradise

Yep. It's that time of year! VACATION!! Yay! Finally...

So off I go with Benjamin to hang out with these freaks-

Yup. Another power couple. ;)

Ok, I'm obviously kidding, but we are going to his hood (Hawaii for those of you not familiar with the white trash glory that is Mr and Mrs Dog the Bounty Hunter). I'll be back sooner than I'd like, but please forgive me in advance for my lack of posts over the next 5 days.
See you all soon!!!

XOXO

Hearts on My Toes

I waited WAY too long to buy these... but I bought them none the less. I only have about a month left to wear them, but they are fun and I love them.

(Melissa for Vivienne Westwood jellies, jeans- Blank, tank and bandeau- American Apparel, necklace and headband- F21)

My dad said they are the ugliest shoes ever! He is very blunt when it comes to shoes I guess. I however, think they are adorable and am glad I got them, however late I may have been. I got them at Nordstrom for less than I found them online too :)

I know my dad hates them... what do YOU think??

Bebe Launch Party

Hello friends! Sorry for the lack of posts- I was in NY for the show and then had a beautiful sunny weekend at home. :)

Images from our bebe launch party have been uploaded to WireImage! Here are some of them.

(Fellow designer, Jessica Lu and Me)

(My dad, owner of Titan Industries and me)

(Bebe founder Manny Mashouf and my dad, Joe Ouaknine)

(My friends Ana Feoktistoff and Liz Benzing- designers of Coach and BCBG- respectively)

(All images: WireImage)

It was really fun and we had a good turn out. The catering company we hired was AMAZING. All the food was delicious and even better- the all male wait staff were models or something because these boys were HOT! Hot boys always make for a good time. ;)

Oh- and did you notice my beautiful new peep toe boots? My one and only purchase in NY this trip. They are Miu Miu and I love them! I'll take better pictures later cause they are super cute.

Twitter was down that night but I was trying to invite all my readers in NY to come. Stupid internet!
