Good News for bebe Fans!

So I can finally tell you the news, since it's officially public:

July 27 (Reuters) - Mall-based women's apparel retailer Bebe Stores Inc (BEBE.O) said it entered into a five-year licensing agreement with Titan Industries Inc to design, manufacture and distribute non-casual footwear for women.

The Brisbane, California-based retailer said the new bebe shoe collection will be sold in bebe stores in the United States and Canada as well as select specialty and department stores worldwide from early spring 2010.

The shoes will be priced in a range from $89 to $169 at retail stores, the company said in a statement.

Titan was created in 1998 for the sole purpose of licensing shoes under the bebe brand, Titan's Chief Executive Joe Ouaknine said.

Yaaaaaa buddies! Bebe is going to back in Department stores! We are very excited at Titan to be back "in bed" with the brand that WE started! Hooray! Something you wont hear anywhere else? The designer is the same designer as our LAMB shoes! Exciting, no??

Running Around

Lots of errands today! I just stole these shoes from our editorial closet at the office yesterday- New Harajuku Lovers mary janes! I don't think they're out yet but I'll let you know when they are. :)

Anyway- if you hadn't noticed a trend with my wardrobe lately, take a peek.

Am I becoming BORING and PREDICTABLE? Oh no! Look- I'm wearing like, the same outfit everyday? Weird. I'm obsessed with these skirts though. Thank you Brass Plum. Skirts and Summer. It just makes sense.

SIDE NOTE! These Harajuku Lovers flats are on sale at Heels.com! I love them and might actually BUY them because I never got them :( booo. They were featured in Teen Vogue and a bunch of other mags this season. YAY!

HELP!!

I need your help so PLEASE vote over there --------------->

I LOVE these Louboutins but $995!?!? Should I?? Money is kinda tight and thats a lot to shell out for a pair of shoes... but they're just so beautiful!!!

Help please! Thank you.

Strap Me Up!

I'm not even going to pretend like every single time I have a meeting with Gwen I just act like it's a normal whatever thing. Like I just roll out of bed and throw on whatever... but that's how it's gotta look, right? hahahaha

I mean, I can't look like I try too hard, right?

(skirt and tank- BP, necklace- Intermix, shoes- Louboutin, bag- Balenciaga)

So this morning I woke up early and after 8 or 9 things, I ended up with the 2nd thing I had on. This. Boring you say? Pish posh.
It's casual yet stylish, no? It says "hey, I just threw this little ditty together and it's no big deal."
6 inch Louboutins for a 9am meeting? Noooooo sweat.

Anyway, I just want you all to know that I am human and yes I realize how cool it is that I get to meet with Gwen and yes, I get excited every time and a little nervous too and maybe that's lame but I'm a nerd and you just have to deal with it. :)

Oh- and the meeting went really well too, in case you were wondering. YAY!

WTF???

So I'm checking out my blog reads for the day and I came across this topic and I just have to give a big ol WTF to these people!!!!
I am just as nerdy as the next Twi-tard, and I admit that I too am obsessed. I have 2 copies of each of the 4 books (paperback and hard back of course) but Twilight tattoos??? REALLY??

If you want a good laugh check out these links...

Amazingly awful.

Matching my Puppy

Stella inspired me today. Black and white with a touch of pink (eyeshadow). She's growing up so fast I can't believe she's already 4.5 lbs! I know that sounds like nothing but when we got her she was a teeny tiny 2 lbs. So cute!

I'm not a big logo fan but of course I'll make an exception for my Harajuku Lovers thongs. ;)

Sneaky Sneak.

So I busted out my Pierre Hardy high heel sneeks from last year. I've actually never worn them before today! I've just sort of contemplated them for the past year and today was the day I finally said... yes. Yes, I think I will.

These are definitely the kind of shoes you either love or hate. I'm leaning towards love.

You like?

What do YOU Think?

Yes or No?

This whole jelly craze may be getting out of hand. I'm ok with some of the cute jelly flats and heels by Melissa like these-

But I just can't get into the weirder versions like these jelly boots by Givenchy. Eww.

But what do YOU think???

Fighting Shoe Crime... One Post at a Time

A question I get a lot from readers emails is about all these websites popping up claiming to sell Christian Louboutin for too-good-to-be-true prices.

Well ladies and germs... if it seems too good to be true, it almost always is. Yep. Your momma was right! *snap snap*

I'm sorry to break the news but sites like madpurchasebay and louboutinbox are full of shit. Yes. They are FAKE. I'm not sure why they don't get shut down. You'd think that the people over at Louboutin, YSL, Jimmy Choo, etc would have a better legal team on top of stopping knock offs. It seems to be getting out of hand as of late. Google adds are the worst because they don't censor stuff like this and they end up on reputable people's blogs! I had to remove my adds because I noticed sites like these that I refuse to endorse.

Some good rules of thumb when looking for deals on authentic Louboutins are:
-Never buy from websites that look as low-buge as these do. I mean, the first one stole a picture of me wearing my glitter shoes and put it on their front page. haha.
- If they ship from Hong Kong or China, it's almost always fake.
-If it's not a reputable online store (ie: Barneys, Saks, Neimans, Browns, etc) don't chance it!
-If it's on ebay and you're not sure- make sure they guarantee authenticity before you buy. And again... if they're shipping from Hong Kong... it's probably fake.

For me, I can usually look at a picture (if they aren't using a photo from someone's REAL shoes and swapping them out on you) and tell if they are fake. The color is off or the shape looks wrong. These shoes are probably not real leather either, and in person will look like total garbage. I realize that most people aren't as shoe crazy as I am so they don't see the subtle differences.

Just take notice if the website uses photos like this:

mixed with photos like this:

Pretty lame, right? What kind of legit website would do that? That's one dead giveaway.

You will also see a scary difference in quality if you decide to purchase shoes from these type of stores.

This real shoe:
will come to you looking like this shitty shoe:

Do you see the difference? The shine on the heel is so blah on the second pair. The shape looks all wrong- the original is much sexier. Chances are the glitter will fall off in chunks too.

The reason I wanted to write about this is because it really pisses me off that people do stuff like this. They should at least admit what they are- knockoffs. I believe that selling a product and claiming that the shoes are authentic is like stealing your money. And though these seem inexpensive, at the end of the day 120something dollars is still a lot of money.

My problem isn't with buying fakes to be honest. If you work your ass off and refuse to spend your hard earned cash on $700+ shoes... you're smarter than I my friend. It's your right to look how you want and wear what you want. My HUGE problem is with the lie.
I don't like when people trick my friends and you are all my dearest ones. So please feel free to forward this post to any of your friends who have mentioned these types of sites. Also feel free to repost to your blogs (link me of course) and help spread the word.

My Great Find

Lookie what I found on sale! Yay! I've always loved these Stella McCartney espadrille wedges, but when I saw them on final sale at Intermix I had to get them! They are so feminine and flirty. Perfect Summer shoes.

While I was in LA I got this tattoo too! Do you guys like it!?! It's a "Holy Cupcake".
:)

...gotcha! I'm totally kidding. I doodled that on my leg while I was sitting in the back seat of my friend's car on our way to LA. Did you believe me? I do love cupcakes though.

Hot Child in the City

Dang it's hot today! Off to LA to find the last of the great shoe bargains!

Who says you can't wear suede boots in the summer?? I say boots of the ankle variety are just fine. Paired with a pair of ripped up cut-offs? No problem.

I love this necklace! I found it at Urban and it reminds me of the stuff that was going down the runway at Givenchy.

Excuse me while I mop up the drool...

Home Again!

I had to make a VERY last minute trip to China and just got back last night! As you know, China has blogger blocked, so I was unable to sign in, so thanks for being patient! :)

Ahhhhh it's good to be home and out of the heat and humidity of China! I got all my work done and I'm really glad to be outta there, especially since it hadn't even been a month since my last trip!

Last night Ben and I went to see Brüno and I left with my cheeks hurting and my stomach feeling not so good. Cheeks hurting from laughing so hard and stomach turning from all the full frontal male shit and inappropriate humor. I hoped that he would have more jokes to play on the fashion world, but was bummed to see that there were only a few. I loved how Borat poked fun at middle America and wish that Bruno did the same to knock some high and mighty fashionistas down a peg or two.
Ben's favorite moment was the anatomically correct pink knit outfit he wore... just see the movie and you'll know what I mean.

Anyway- I meant to blog about this before but was RUDELY interrupted by my job sending me away, and now I'm too late- but here it is anyway. Kitson had a whole window for Harajuku Lovers including (YAY) the footwear, which they do not carry. Weird, yes. But hey, it completed the look of the window display and got people asking about the shoes. :)

The mannequins were dressed as Love, Angel, Music, Baby, and of course, G. They are dressed in head to toe Harajuku Lovers and I think they look adorable. Good job to my dear friend Jolie for putting it all together! Yippee!

It's good to be home and back to blogging!

There are some SERIOUSLY amazing shoes on sale right now at up to 70% off! I want to share some of my favorites with you guys... you know, cause I love you all. :)

Let me know if any of you get any of these deals!! :)

It kind of makes me weary of buying new shoes. It's like, inevitable that they'll be on sale in a few months and I'll find myself pissed off that I paid full price. Ho hum. What's a girl to do?

4th of July Getaway

Ben and I decided to get away for the weekend since our town gets a little out of hand for the 4th of July. So it was off to Palm Springs to stay at the beautiful Viceroy hotel. I went on a little mini shopping spree and bought most of these clothes at Nordstrom in their Brass Plum dept. Definitely one of my favorite places to shop for pretty cheap basics.

(dress- BP, wedges- Chanel, tote- Goyard, glasses- Ray Ban)

(tank- JCrew, skirt- BP, shoes- Christian Louboutin, hat- Meilsa)

(skirt and tank- BP, shoes- Chanel, tote- Celine)

(onsie- vintage, shoes- Harajuku Lovers)

So I'm obviously obsessed with my new hat. I thought that it would be the perfect Palm Springs accessory! There's this awesome little hat store over at the Lab in Costa Mesa called Arth. They have some seriously great hats for guys and girls.
Anyway- just wanted to show you my poolside wardrobe lineup. The weather was beautiful if not a little too hot. The hotel was a perfect getaway and I recommend it to any of you who love to relax and have a great laid back vibe around you. We met some really cool people from LA and everyone was super friendly and sweet. We can't wait to go back!
